Shopify Integration with Odoo

Keep your storefront and your back office in sync, without copy-paste.

Your online store takes the orders; Odoo runs inventory, fulfillment and accounting. When the two aren't connected, someone re-enters orders by hand, stock drifts out of sync and finance chases the numbers. We connect them so data flows automatically, in the direction it should.

What gets synchronized

Online storeShopifyOdooInventory · fulfillment · accountingOrders, customers and addressesPayments, shipping, discounts and taxesStock levelsStatus and tracking numbersProducts and variants: one shared reference (SKU)
  • Products and variants, with one reference (SKU) shared by both systems.
  • Stock levels, sent from Odoo to the store.
  • Orders, customers and addresses, brought into Odoo for fulfillment and invoicing.
  • Payments, shipping, discounts and taxes, so each order reaches accounting with the right amounts.
  • Order status and tracking numbers, sent back to the store.

How we build the integration

01Sourceof truthFor each data type02ConnectionConnector or API03MappingProducts, taxes, methods04Test runsRefunds included05MonitoringVisible errors
  1. Define the source of truth. For each type of data (products, prices, stock, orders), we decide which system owns it.
  2. Choose the connection. An existing connector module when it fits, or a custom integration through the platform's API when it doesn't.
  3. Map both systems. Products, taxes, payment methods and shipping methods are matched one by one.
  4. Test real scenarios. Including refunds, partial refunds and cancellations, before go-live.
  5. Monitor. Sync errors are logged and visible, so nothing fails silently.

Where integrations usually break

  • Products without a reliable SKU, or variants organized differently in each system.
  • Taxes calculated by the store that don't match Odoo's tax rules.
  • Refunds and cancelled orders that never reach accounting.
  • The same customer created twice, once per channel.
  • Items sold twice because stock updates run too rarely.

Frequently asked questions

Do we have to replace our online store?

No. Your store stays where it is; the integration connects it to Odoo.

Can Odoo eCommerce replace Shopify?

Sometimes. Odoo includes a website and eCommerce application that shares its data natively with the back office. We'll tell you honestly whether it would fit your store.

We sell through several channels. Can Odoo bring them together?

Yes. We have built an Odoo-based platform that brings e-commerce, in-store, wholesale and distribution sales into a single source of truth for a specialty producer.
